PCT Closure Info

PACIFIC CREST TRAIL CLOSED AHEAD

Due to wildfires, the PCT is closed on the Plumas National Forest from the Quincy-La Porte Rd. north to Highway 36 near Chester on the Lassen National Forest. Nearly 100 miles are closed, please plan accordingly.

An alternative to by pass this section is to head north 20 miles on the Quincy-La Porte Rd. to the town of Quincy where a bus runs from Quincy to Chester. The bus cost is $3.00 and can be caught in Quincy at:
